Drinking & Mormons - Page 3

I do not consume alcohol in any form, but then I don't like it, and it bothers me; I do follow what the Holy Ghost tells me, which is best for me; but that may not be the best for everyone.

To make a note on History, early church leaders and members did drink wine and beer; the stoppage did not really happen until US Prohibition Law was in acted; the Church seemed to want to show its support of the Federal Government.

The Word of Wisdom does not actually say wine ands beer is off limits, but it would be wise to be cautious about its use, and maybe best to leave it alone. It does advise, wine is best used for Sacrament only.

I find that the Word of Wisdom, section 89, has far more relevance for today and the secret agenda and conspiracies of men, then at Joseph's time; dealing with drugs, and modern day processed foods, full of chemicals and no real life to sustain our bodies.

I find the more I live the Word of Wisdom by the Spirit the more I feel the Spirit increase in me, which leads to greater knowledge and even the mysteries of God, which we are to seek out, to find and become like God.
