China's Tianlang Guan, the youngest to ever play at the Masters, has made the cut.

At 14 years, 5 months of age, Guan is the youngest to make the cut in a major championship. Previously, the youngest was Italian Matteo Manassero, who did it at the 2009 British Open at 16 years, 2 months.

Guan shot a 3-over 75 and is 4 over for the tournament. He was perilously close to missing the cut and was hit with a one-stroke penalty at the 17th hole for slow play -- a penalty rarely seen in golf.

Australian golfer Jason Day leads the tournament in Augusta, Georgia, after two rounds of play. Fred Couples and Marc Leishman are one stroke behind. Tiger Woods -- who was among the leaders much of the day -- trails Day by three strokes. Ref. CNN
