Anyone else have a problem with this? His reason for using them on us is not to really test them, but to make sure he doesn't take a fall on the world stage.

QUOTE

The object is basically public relations. Domestic use would make it easier to avoid questions from others about possible safety considerations, said Secretary Michael Wynne.

"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne. "(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press."

Wonderful, if it hurts one of our protesters, then its ok. Thats really a load of crap if you ask me. Why don't you test it on your own men first if its really that benign? Better yet, why don't they test it on you since you are so willing to us it on other people?

Psychological effect against pushing and shoving. A large crowd of people at the entrance of concert or sport venues can easily result in a dangerous situation. In such cases, it might help to put up artificial barriers to prevent high densities and pushing of people, as has been demonstrated in experiments. The observed effect cannot be explained in purely physical terms; rather, it can only be understood if the psychological aspects are likewise taken into consideration. Source 9w.
