Actor James Gandolfini died in Italy of a possible heart attack, HBO and his managers said Wednesday. HBO has issued this statement:

"We're all in shock and feeling immeasurable sadness at the loss of a beloved member of our family. He was special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone no matter their title or position with equal respect. He touched so many of us over the years with his humor, his warmth and his humility. Our hearts go out to his wife and children during this terrible time. He will be deeply missed by all of us."

Gandolfini was to have appeared at the Taormina Film Fest in Sicily this week, the festival said.

A previous e-mail misspelled the name of the character Gandolfini portrayed on "The Sopranos." He played Tony Soprano. We regret the error. Ref. CNN

That's a really young age to die. Shows how much you have to pay attention to your health because even in Hollywood where they're supposed to have the best of everything it doesn't mean they have the best of health.
