Is Florida Surfing popular? Are there Florida Wave Rider facilities that Surfers can use for the sport? Is the sport developed or unknown? Even if it is not done locally, who are the most known Florida Surfers?

From the little bit of Florida I have seen I did see some people out surfing a bit. The swells were not real big but I guess it gives those first learning how to surf a lot of practice for when the bigger surf comes in. I think with all the access to the gulf and the ocean makes those that want to surf a popular venue to surf.
