Then wouldn't that fall into the realm of a 'risk sin'? In other words you are walking by the position that you are doing something in ignorance of the fact? Is that acceptable before Allah o in other words is ignorance justifiable?

Abortion in islamic terminology only refers to termination of pregnancy. As I explained that pregnancy in Islam is only deemed to start after the implantation of the fertilised ovum into the uterus. Implantation of the ovum normally completes during the 2nd week of embryo development. Hence the morning after pill cannot be considered abortion as it is only taken 72 hours after intercourse during which pregnacny has not begun yet.
