According to the Bible is drinking Wine: Good or Bad?

Bad Good Wine

Drinking wine was fine, it was being drunk with wine that got you in trouble. Its the same principle today as has always been. Drinking something is fine, its doing it in excess that gets us in trouble.

As far as I know, the Bible never clearly states whether it's inherently good or bad. It's open to interpretation, like many things are in the Good Book. I guess that's why some religions (although not many) think it's okay and some don't.

Personally, I don't think you're going to hell if you have a glass of wine. My Grandma sure does. Her doctor even told her to have a shot of wine before bed each night and she still wouldn't touch the stuff.

Bad Good Wine

Have you not heard of Communion? The wine is Jesus' blood; the bread his skin. Wine is not bad; it is the irresponsible excess of it.
In the Scripture it says where your treasure is, there will also be your heart- so being that all the treasures on this Earth leave, the best treasure you could have is the spiritual type. If you become a drunkard, then technically your treasure has become this intoxicant...so your heart dwells with this empty poison, and you live for it. So, seeing this, being a drunk is bad but drinking is not to some extent.

Bad Good Wine

I don't think that it is a bad thing to drink wine Jesus did it himself just not excessively, only on certain ocassions and being that I am a church goer we used to drink wine during communion now a days it is grape juice.

So no it is not bad.

I would only say a cup of wine is okay, if you get drunk off of it then you shouldn't drink it. I don't drink any alcoholical beverages so I don't know how wine affects the body.
