From the early days of Denmark its warriors would sail/row their dragon ships to ports through out the European world. It was hard to predict where they would strike next due to the fact they were able to guide their ships out of sight of land before turning and attacking. They were pioneers in the Navigation of ships.

That's modesty coming out. The Norse sailed all the way to North America and then up and down the coastline hundreds of years before Columbus did. They and the Polynesians were the greatest early navigators.
