Americans are increasingly concerned that ISIS represents a direct terror threat, fearful that ISIS agents are living in the United States and most support military action against the terrorist group, according to a new CNN/ORC International poll released Monday.
Seven in 10 Americans believe that ISIS has the resources to launch an attack against the U.S., but a majority of Americans, 61% to 38%, oppose placing U.S. Soldiers on the ground in Iraq and Syria to combat ISIS. Ref. CNN

President Barack Obama told the nation that ISIS poses a threat to the Middle East, including the people of Iraq and Syria. "If left unchecked, these terrorists could pose a growing threat beyond that region, including the United States," He said.
To combat the threat, the President said the United States:
-- will carry out a "Systematic campaign of airstrikes" Against ISIS.
-- will send an additional 475 service members to Iraq. "These American forces will not have a combat mission," Obama said.
-- will work with partners to stem the flow of foreign fighters into and out of the Middle East. Ref. CNN
