Opps, forgot to post what I got:

QUOTE
Fearful - I try to stay informed about the latest issues around me. If Osama Bin Laden says something I do not take it like a joke.

Panic Mode - I generally stay away from public transport and suspect terrorists by the way they look. I panic about whatever CNN tells me I should panic about.

Sadly, I'm proud of this.

QUOTE
Denial or Carefree - You never did take on the news much in the past and do not intend to take it on now either. You live life at your pace and do not wait for others to tell you how to live it even if it is the government or a terrorist.

I don't really agree with this assessment. I certainly do not let others tell me how to live - agreed. But I"m not in denial and I"m generally not carefree when it comes to matters such as my well being and that of my family. Being a journalist I have to keep up with the latest issues more than most. Like Nighthawk, I found a few of the questions a bit black and white.

Trinichic said, Can you imagine a world where journalists are held legally accountable for their inaccuracies and/or deliberate misrepresentation(s) of the truth?

This world does exist in most Western democratic countries I have visited. To be fair, defamation laws do vary from place to place. In the UK it seems to be a lot more relaxed than in Australia, for instance. In most other parts of the world the media is often controlled by the state so journalists write what they are told to or allowed.

Dextral, it could be worse, you could panic over what Fox news tells you. Now that would be something to be proud of. laugh.gif

I guess that more or less sums up what I feel about today's situation. My relative worked in UK when the subway bomb blasts happened.

Initially I was also totally paranoid about everything happening around me but then sense came in I started to realize that millions of people (Muslims) cannot be blamed for actions of a few hundred.

But again, I don't think that these people should be taken lightly. Pride comes before a fall.

I don't fear public transportation.

I do suspect that Islam as a rule outside of the United States is a religion that celebrates violence against non-Muslims or non-practicing Muslims(The Fatwa against Salmon Rusdie by an entire islamic Nation, The death Penalty in Saudi Arabia for converting to Christianity).

I hate CNN, so I am not panicking whenever they say to panic.

I do not fear for my own safety, but I do have a problem with a religion that has a large portion of it wanting to destroy a nation (Israel) wants Americans dead(Hamas leaders stating "death to America"), and the fact that it is part of many if not most of the armed conflicts that exist in the world today.

I am not in Panic Mode, I am just a realist.

I wouldn't call this fearful but rather "alert."

I also agree with FarSeer --alert rather than fearful. There was a couple of questions I would of rather had a different choice--like sitting on a plane--I wouldn't insist they took me off, I would stay there and sit by them--but RELAX? Thats not the word I am thinking of! undecided.gif

I totaly agree, while I do not suspect people in my town, when I travel to big citys sometimes I can not help but wonder

Carefree that about sums it up for me. I live my life my way and will not let some one try to scare me and keep me from doing as I feel. I stay alert and knowledgeable. I would think that I do not treat others worse because of the action of others.
