I heard that most people just give gifts with the hope that they get something they really want in return. Now come on, you can't tell me that if you give a gift to someone you wouldn't be expecting one back right? I'm sure you will also scrutinize what you paid for the gift you gave to them as compared to the price tag of what you got from them (if any).

Giving Gift

Honestly, I give gifts because I feel that the person I am giving to deserves it. It does not matter who they are or whether I receive something in return. It simply gives me a good feeling to give a gift and brighten that person's day.
