Police in suburban Fort Worth, Texas, said a videotape found in a search for stolen goods appears to show two teenagers persuading a 2-year-old boy and his 5-year-old brother to smoke marijuana.

These two kids are only 2 and 5 years old! Put these teens in jail for good and throw away the key and their irresponsible mother too. My goodness. What is this world coming to?

Why am I figuring that that was a method of keeping the kids quiet while mommy was sleeping? Plus, the "uncles" could enjoy themselves with the kids just "chillin", stumbling around and watching cartoons. I also suspect mom isn't much out of her teens either.

While I do not advocate taking kids away from their parents, maybe the state should seriously look into their situation here and at least strongly threaten that they are gone on a further incident such as this one.

A further incident? That just means that the next "incident" won't be taped. Put these irresponsible kids in public service helping kids who are born addicted, brain damaged, handicapped because of drugs. Then let's see how they feel about giving pot to babies.

I wish I was kidding, but the mother was in another room and that is her story and I am sure she is sticking to it. The other part to this is that foster homes aren't always the best place either for children to grow up. The stability of that life is not good for development at all. The younger kid has a chance to be put someplace, but the older one isnt really at a desirable age and is probably bound for a life of being shuffled around.

Personally, I would love to have the kids removed in this case, but for every one of these stories you can find a story of children that were removed from their parents that don't grow up very well. That is why I agree with what the courts "try" to do and that is to keep the family together and get them help if that would aid in allowing the family to exist as vaiable unit.

In this case, I would like to see a grandparent step up and take custody of these kids.
