Pain 'missed' in premature babies
Premature babies undergoing medical procedures may be in pain even if there is no obvious physical hint of it, brain scans reveal.

I have to ponder why any one would think that a baby would not feel pain are we still in the dark ages? Common sense folks if the baby is in mommy or just out their nerouse system is attached to their brain! Heck my oldest boy could sense when I touched my wifes belly and he would wallup me a good one. I had a bruise on my arm once from him. He still gets jealous and joins in when I give her a hug.
I think it is again educated people with too much time on their hands trying to justify their existence rather then treating a patient.
