Well, I hope this isn't one of JB's originals.
I have to give this one a '5'. It isn't bad, but it isn't great either. I get no emotional impact from it. I wouldn't put it up as wallpaper on my computer. I don't care if I ever see it again, or anything like it. But, I am not repelled by it either.
It is interesting how the light effects are shown, but I don't get any sort of feeling for what it is, or really even where it comes from. The moon and stars are OK, but that is it.
The best thing about the picture is the landscape, which is quite well done.
I would give it about a 4. The idea behind it is great, but as Nighthawk said, I got no emotion out of it. I felt like I should be feeling the light coming towards me, but I didn't. It's almost done in a too rigid fashion. I agree with LDS about the moon, it just doesn't quite make me think realistically about it. I think if there was more natural of the light, it could evoke more emotion. Like I said, the idea behind the work is great.
I think what impresses me the most is the gradual light change in the sky. It goes from lighter to darker as it climbs higher, and it does so in a fluid manner.
