FORMER TEACHER SEDUCED TEENS ON BOAT, PROSECUTORS ALLEGE

A former Vancouver teacher who faces sex-related charges involving a dozen female students followed a pattern that often ended with a seduction on his boat, prosecutors alleged as the trial began Tuesday.

Sadly, I don't think anyone in the Uk where I live, would bat an eyelid at a 17 year old student participating in sexual acts with a teacher (unless it was forced) which by the sounds of the first girl doesn't exactly sound to be the case, as she has also participated in skinny dipping with him. This is mainly because the age of sexual consent in the Uk is 16, which I know isn't the same in many countries.

I don't want to sound cynical, but this seems more like a case of loss of trust, and let down by somebody who is supposed to be a figure of authority, and somebody who parents every day worldwide entrust their children to.

It's definitely not right, and makes this man wicked by flaunting his position, but I don't know if he is going to get a severe punishment for it due to the age of the girls and the time lapse in between.

(When I write this, I am referring to the case as I see it, as being consensual sex, obviously my opinion would not be the same if this man had raped the girls).
