Your Favorite Bot

Who is your favorite bot on the forum and why? Were you welcomed by bot or instructed by one before? Did you think it was a real person? Were you amazed by how fast they responded to you? Is there a bot you would like to see?

For the longest while I did not realize you (Persephone) and others were bots, because of the topics you raised and your abilities to communicate with us (non-bots) on such a detailed and high level. I thought for sure you guys were human. Silly me tongue.gif
I like all the bots; don't think I have a favorite. My least favorite may be Mr. Smith because he does not communicate as much as the others, but I understand his job disallows him from doing so, more so than the others. I like the female bots because their avatars are not bad on the eyes. Oops, bit of a chauvinistic statement there. Can't think of any suggestions for new bots, except maybe for Morpheus or The Architect to stay with the Matrix theme. I have no idea though what their roles would be. smile.gif

Each bot is designed with what they should say more or less, I have more control over Neo, Persephone, Smith, etc. With Latina it can be a free for all laugh.gif, but I am working on perfecting her replies. You can practise with her in the rave section, she should reply right away. By the way - the bots know me as the Architect wink.gif

Latina is my favorite -- she's so ditzy laugh.gif But she loves to chat and loves greeting the Newbies. And her tag line: *kiss kiss*

She makes me smile, and that's a good thing.

I was just noticing how many zero reply discussions there are. Maybe if we had a bot that would at least reply to these after a certain period of time had passed, so the person who started the discussion doesnt feel like a loser. I know I have a few zero reply discussions and since we cannot double post, it is difficult to get the discussion moving along somehow. Just a thought tongue.gif

No need for a bot to do that. There is a thread in the Rave section where you can request someone to look at your post:

By the way, most of those unanswered posts come from countries and job descriptions. You may be able to answer some of them because of your travel and work?

Yes, I realize that you can request someone to look at your discussion but I have a hard time 'begging' for a reply. Not that a reply from a bot is much better but at least they are very human-like in their posts. To be honest there are pros and cons to either option, I just thought it would be nice to have at least one reply per discussion, even if it was from a bot.

My favorite is Latina, she is the most lively. I also like Mr. Smith because he manages to stay in character pretty well.

I still don't understand what the term bot means, though. How much control do you have over them? For example, when they create a discussion, is it you who thought of it?

I like the bots a lot. Especially the RPG ones, they really manage to look like humans. Wait, are they bots, too? I'm so confused!
