Russia and Romania remain the worst offenders in terms of hosting websites containing dangerous software such as viruses, spyware and "phishing" code - but Pacific island nations are not far behind, says a big security software vendor, McAfee.

I don't know too much about the Romanian Hosts, but I do often see this happening with Russian extensions. In fact, if I see a link in Google for a web site under a Russian host I usually do not visit. They care nothing about being blacklisted and the whole country / extension is paying for it.

Makes you wonder what kind of internet laws they have in those countries that will allow spammers to just use the country extension to do whatever.
