Organized by a Dixie State art history professor, the survey sought insight about the issue of female priesthood ordination.

I am putting this in as a place holder and a reminder for me to come back to this. It is quite late as I am writing this and I have not read all the proceeding posts, so if this has been said before I am sorry.
The Priesthood of God, does contain a power and authority bestowed through those having the power and authority themselves.
One consideration that I did not see in the first page or two of this thread is the gifts of the Spirit. Not all the Gifts of the Spirit have been identified, categorized, and/or labeled. We know through faith it is possible to do many wondrous things. As long as it is the will of God and the party performing these "Miracles" acknowledges God's power through the Spirit and in Christ's name, then all the key elements have been observed to perform a blessing, or utilize a Gift of the Spirit.
Back to the priesthood. For every calling and assignment given or received in this life, one will be held accountable. I personally want to keep that list of responsibilities and accountabilities as short and sweet as possible. No surprises at the Final Judgement Bar. Holding the Priesthood bears some serious responsibility and accountability, that not everyone needs to have in order to be perfected in the next life.
