I hope the ban is a sizeable one, because this type of repetitive behavior should not be tolerated. On one of the football talk shows, I heard there are provisions in the FIFA by-laws that could result in a 2-year ban so we'll see what actions comes down for this.

What has been Suarez's reaction? He says we are making a big deal out of somethings that 'just happen' while playing football. In other words he takes no responsibility for it and notices no coincidence between that and former biting incidents.

What's even worse is that his teammates seem to be backing him up as well, instead choosing to make the Italians look like they are making too big of a deal about the incident. This type of behavior cannot be tolerated and should not be accepted by the team either. The Uruguay federation should probably step in as well, but they're probably not going to as it will hurt their chances the rest of the World Cup. It's just a bad situation all around.

Its amazing how much support Luis Suarez is having but if you look deeper its only those who have something to gain out of it. They aren't sympathetic to the victim and the diseases he could inherit as a result of assault.

Not enough of a punishment in my opinion. He is a three-time offender now, and should be handed the maximum ban possible, ie 2 years. 4 months barely puts a dent in the Premiership season, and he won't miss any games for his country other than what's left of their campaign in the World Cup.
