Comments: In the Bible in Malachi Chapter 2 verse 3 God warned that He will spread dung on faces even the dung of the people's solemn feasts. God is merciful and very slow to anger but whenever the line is crossed then God warns the rebellious to repent or else he will do what will hopefully bring people back to God. At times due to disobedience God causes drought and starvation so the people in desperation eat bird poo among other things including their children.

Also poo is often used as a secret ingredient in some initiation ceremonies whereby the cult masters poo is mixed with potions and urine and given to adherents to drink to seal membership. This later manifests in poo dreams until the person seeks help and is delivered through prayer.

Comments: The II Kings 18:27 passage refers to the Assyrian emissary insulting the people of Judah: as lowly enough to eat their own dung and drink their own piss and thus is totally unconcerned in what they think of the negotiations going on. This is after the emissary of Judah requests speaking in a tongue the common people do not understand.
