Shane Introduction

Hi there. I'm from the United States and find myself in the enviable position of being engaged to a beautiful Trinidadian woman. We are hoping to get married next year. What we're needing to know, and having a lot of trouble finding out, is this... what exactly do we have to do for me (an American) to get legally married to her (a Trinidadian) in Trinidad/Tobago and have the marriage also be recognized in America as well? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all.

Welcome to the Community. Your question is best suited for the Trinidad & Tobago Board, but I can tell you quickly that you need to meet with a marriage officer, put up your bands, you need a one week ad in the newspaper, and then that is it. You will obviously need to walk with apostille documents when coming, but which documents for sure I do not know.
