Hello,
Female, 28, mom, wife, Christian. Used to be Mormon, left cause the "burning in the bosom" I felt didn't come from Mormonism. It came from a non-denominational church. The same joy and warmth that is spoken of for Mormons I felt ten times over there. However, my dad is still Mormon. He and I talked and he said that he can tell I truly love the Lord and know more about His word than he expected. Because of this he said that, if I take another look at the Mormon church, he is sure that I will see the truth.
My view: if a faith cannot stand up to what's (respectfully) thrown at them, or if one resorts to merely saying I am uninformed or ignorant (instead of just giving me the right information), then they must not be able to come up with an answer which removes reasonable doubt.
So, here I am. I ask hard questions and I challenge. I am not looking to put anyone on the defense. But, with what I want to know, it may be seem that way. Though I will not attempt insult anyone (no calling names or making cracks about one's intelligence or personality).
I am not sure what is considered "deep doctrinal" discussions but I notice there is a lack of LDS forums where one can go to "lay on the questions". Can I do that here?

Thanks for the welcome. I hope that warmth stays throughout with the others I speak to. Last time I tried to have a discussion with LDS, not only was I insulted, but so was my intelligence, my father and my knowledge of Christ.
They had more "bashing" than answering.
