How We See Things

Consider the following quote and then give your perspective of it:

"We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."

I think it makes a lot of sense. For example, we can hear or read the exact same thing on two different occasions and get different meanings or applications each time. Also, all of our perspectives are pretty much based on past experiences, and everyone has had different experiences in life, which is one reason why people have differing opinions.

How is it said, nothing can be seen without the observer influencing it. Objectivity is a concept, subjectivity makes the reality. That's mine and you may quote me. Like you want to do that. There are those that claim we are all in our own little reality, actually in our own reality. There are studies that would show this might be fact. Might, is the key word here of course. Still as has been stated here already, we do see things based on our past, our attitude and the stars.

It all comes down to attitudes and latitudes.

QUOTE
"We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."

To me this quote just means the same as that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To me this quote means that when we see something we will see it through the experiences that we have seen and how we feel it should be. Instead of seeing the truth we only see what we want to see.
