What a lucky human Rogelio Lopez is to survive this, but as far as the most terrible of accidents go what would you rate this?

Well as bad as it looked, it really isnt. Race cars are designed to come apart during wrecks to help absorb the impact and protect the driver. Granted any wreck is bad and luck plays a good part in the outcome. I still would give this a 5 on the 1-10 rating

That seemed really bad to me, I give it a 7 out of 10 mostly because first he takes a head on crash into the wall, gets hit again and moves all the way from the top edge of the raceway to the down gradient up sided down with sparks flying everywhere.

Offtopic but, Sadly, Rogelio got hit rather than him hitting someone to cause this.

I agree with rccarpy it was not real bad a 4 or 5 on 10. The car is designed to take the energy of any hit though the driver is still bounced about pretty good.
