Boot Camp for Prisoners

I was just watching a program in the US called, "Prisoner Boot Camp" ('Lockup' on MSNBC) in which prisoners can attend a boot camp like setting if they wish to reduce their sentences. The program is especially good for drug addicts who want to learn discipline. What do you think about it?

I also think that this is a good idea. There has been a similar thing offered to UK prisoners, and they went over to the US boot camps, because apparently the Americans are deemed to be trained the best in disciplining prisoners.
I can't see it exactly being easy, so I think that the option of a reduced sentence should definitely be on offer.

If this is proving to be a asset I hope that others can go through it. Getting your life back and being able to get away from a life of crime would be beneficial to anyone.

As far as I know there are two programs, one for males and one for females. The one for males is the Intensive Confinement Center (ICC) located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The one for females is located at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.

I also think this is a good idea. As I thought going to prison, there should be a lesson learnt in order for the perps not to re-offend. This is a step in the right direction.
