Some humans are fascinated with vehicle maintenance while others leave their automobiles very dirty. Which kind of car / motorbike owner are you? Also, when you do wash your car do you take it to the car wash, clean it yourself or hire someone?
I try to wash my car regularly, and I feel that once a month at the local car wash is plenty. Too much washing can ruin the exterior finish, is what I've heard.
This winter, it rained so much that I didn't go at all, and my car got so dirty-- inside and out! It was kind of embarrassing, but every time I thought about washing my car, the rain came again.
I don't particularly like to wash my car myself, like I did when I was younger.
I don't particularly lie washing the car myself but loved doing it when I was younger too and it was great for family fun in the holidays. But the rain does help! We just polish it after and park it in the car port to get extra love and attention! But like you said too much water ruins the finish!
I hate to wash my car ... I go at a car-wash near my office once a month. Although, when I was a kid, in the summer holydays I drove my father crazy, 'cause I wanted to wash the car every weekend. I don't know what was I thinking. Maybe because it was summer and it was so hot and with my brother were fooling around ... I don't know.
With my old car, I had it for about three years and I think I washed it about a total of three or four times. The car had so many scratches on it and dents and dings (not that I had put on the car, mind you), that it almost made the car look worse to wash it.
With my new Rodeo I just got, though, I will prolly take the time to put a little more love into my new baby.
I average once a month. The problem is that I have a minivan with three kids. I usually clean the inside out and just do the outside because I'm already at the car wash. The kids can't keep their hands off of the dirty car so I wash it once in a while. But they actively decimate the inside of the van, so it MUST be clean at least once a month on the inside of the vehicle.
Shamefully, I have to admit that I wait until my husband washes the family car, then smile sweetly at him and he washes my car for me too
I clean the inside quite regularly, but really dislike washing the outside.
he doesn't mind washing the car, so it seems a shame to stop him!
I know how dirty a car can get around Manchester, especially when it rains, which is all the time, so sometimes it was necessary for us to wash our car just to see the road! We used to have a Vauxhall with wipers on the front lamps to keep it clean. back then that was a real innovation, but it was so necessary with the amount of mud that can get there.
