WHY THE REPUBLICANS NEED TO LOSE
Power may be corrupting, but it is also addictive. That's why no party likes to lose an election. But the truth is that sometimes a loss is just what is needed to regain a sense of purpose and energy. And that's why the Republicans need to lose in November.

Well, we are in the middle of a dangerous pendulum that is going to continue to cause single party governments. After eight years of primarily democrat rule with Clinton, we did the same with Bush, and now the pendulum will swing left. But this time, its even worse than it was in before. We managed to have a republican house, senate, presidency, and supreme court. It will swing inversely the other way soon and it will be almost all democrat, which won't be good either. You cannot have a single party government voted in, its not good for people. But party line voting tends to bring that about, by "energizing the base" and getting your party base to get out and vote based on their outrage against their hated party opposite. It will continue to go back and forth since we don't have a viable third party in the United States.
