Indygo Introduction

Hello everybody

Indygo is the name of one of my characters (a half elf Shwashbuckler) in Everquest 2.

I am here to make friends, learn and share information.

My interests include (but are not limited to) family, art & graphic design, SCA, nature, camping, walking, reading, medieval/renaissance history, fantasy, nature and horses.

I am married, have a young daughter, and work for the local newspaper as a graphic designer doing pagination and building ads.

As far as personality, I'm laid-back and open minded. I live fairly conservatively, but I love trying new and different things. I love a good laugh and lighthearted banter, but can be serious too. I'm just a little bit ditzy, but mostly down-to-earth.
My gift is to see both sides of things. On the flip-side, I am very indecisive.

Enough about me, I want to get to know YOU, so let's go!

Welcome to the community! I noticed you liked camping, I just got back from camping and I love it as well. You are part of the ranks of the many people who play "EverCrack" as I like to call it! laugh.gif I have one friend who plays it and does nothing else.

Thank you all for the kind welcomes,

I'm from the Tribe forum. My profile page had the picture of the mermaid and merbaby on it (ring any bells?) It was awhile back. We talked about genealogy and I found this great forum through your genealogy web page. I'm glad I signed up. I didn't post much in forums before I came here but there's such a wide range of subjects and such nice people, it's hard not to post anything.

I remember that, and I am glad that you took up my invite. Sometimes I look for deep thinkers who can share more than just off the cuff kind of statements and when I saw your profile I knew you would be a worthwhile Member, so I am happy that you are enjoying your time here.

If you have friends with similar interests please do invite them.

As you become integrated, please do feel free to give us Feedback so we can know your thoughts regarding the site.

Check back here regularly to see if anyone has replied or you can take the initiative and tell more about yourself. I did notice that you mentioned becoming so stressed years ago that you had to take a rest from it all as it were... what were you doing that had you so involved?

Indygo Introduction Introductions & Member Sharing

No one big thing happened, just a culmination of small things over a period of time.

9-11 happened at the time my husband was security at a nuclear power plant near here. Well, the following spring the plant was still on high alert a lot of the time. So he was a little stressed too.

Also, he worked a 12 hour rotating graveyard shift, so I was home alone many nights. That didn't bother me too bad, but we lived out in the country in a modular home (no basement, no shelter) and it was spring, tornado season. I am terrified of tornados and, like an idiot, insist on living in tornado central. At least once a month I will dream that a tornado is coming and I'm running in terror to find a safe place. All the worry was for nothing too, because we never had a tornado come close to the house, just really bad storms.

It was nearing the end of the spring school semester as well, and I was working at a factory full time, and trying to get school projects done and study for exams.

So, nothing major. Many have gone through worse and been fine, and I thought I was fine until my body just said "hey, those fight or flight chemicals your brain is constantly producing are putting me out of whack, and I'm going to get revenge!"
