Mormon Mature
Review - Is getting access to the LDS Mature section worth fulfilling the requirements? Find out what those who have LDS Mature status are saying about the LDS Mature Board. Topics that are too sensitive for the Public LDS Board are ONLY Discussed in the LDS Mature Board.

LDS Mature Section Requirements & Reviews - Page 5

As I was going to Church today it came to me that maybe we should start back what we used to have before. We should require an X amount of participation (posts) in the LDS deep doctrine board BEFORE venturing in the LDS mature board, maybe even suggesting some few topics there for them tor reply so we could analyze how they post? This can help us by:

1. Analyzing the kind of topics they're ready to participate (tells a lot about someone) and see if they are ready for the LDS Mature board.

2. Avoids "leeching" information only.

After the incidents we have had, I think more things should be required than just upgrading, otherwise the board is way too "open" to use and misuse.

In my experience, antis and false prophets, etc have a way of writing that they just cannot help themselves (usually very lengthy posts with lots of contradictions disguised as doctrine) so I think the "signs" will be there when they participate in the LDS deep doctrine board.

Also what we can do is if someone is interested in upgrading for the LDS Mature board, we can tell them that it is by invitation only (even though they have to upgrade) and that he/she will receive such invitation if the administration approves it. If the person is serious, they will stay, if they are not, they will leave.

Once they are able to access the mature board, an X amount of participation must be met to be able to remain "in status".

Can you explain what your opinion or definition is of "leaching" information is please? I did ask above but didn't see an answer posted. Thanks,

"Leaching" information means to have a main/only interest in "extracting" the information provided within this board without no intention of participating.

One problem about deep doctrine is that the deeper you go, the less scripture, and other references, you have to support, or denounce it.

True to some degree.

1. I believe for most doctrines there are references, scriptures and sources that can be used, it is just a matter of where and how to find it.

2. Regardless to what we do have as actual facts the fun and intrigue comes from the opinions of what might be if we dig. Just like archeologists dig and as they do they find that what they knew before is expanded on a bit. It is not perfect, but their perspective widened.

3. I have also found that Discussing the 'deeper' Doctrines helps us to see how our own understanding is so limited. I have seen people join the Community in the past boasting of how much they know only to be disappointed by what they post.

Therefore... Say your mind, the challenge will come, that is what Discussion, good Discussion is about.

Looks like you have been posting a lot in the LDS related Boards. As soon as the donation is verified and I Upgrade your account then yes we will be able to give you access. I must warn you though, at some point I will be adding a system that will check activity for continued access to it, so you will need to remain fairly active in order to maintain your access to the Mature section.
