Too Mature For Mormons

I see people beg about here, wish to be here and then when they do Upgrade and come in they get all shy. What is the matter, is the Doctrine here to deep for you? Is this the final frontier of knowledge that you feel drained or is it that you do not know where to start. I am always looking forward to some in depth Discussion, but it seems Members are afraid?

Not afraid I don't think--more as somewhat overwhelmed myself. There are topics here that have been started and years ago and to get through them to find out if YOUR specific question was answered sometimes gets overwhelming though NEVER boring!

Also, I think the factor is of curiosity when there is an "unknown" or "deep doctrine" and all you have to do is Upgrade! I really would like to get more into the deep discussions but I haven't even found time to post lately let alone read them. I will try harder though because I know there is great information there and what I have read already has been great! Just my 2 cents on why I don't--oh yeah, and I really think WOW what could I add to this? I could learn from others but ADD?

Do not be afraid to comment. Ask questions. If the answer has been given already I will point you in the right direction, if it is something new I may even start a Thread just to Discuss that one point. The main name seen in this Board is "JB" and of course in some places "LDS_forever", I would like to see others.

Also, of recent I was wondering if we should make videos a part of this Discussion. There are a lot of PUBLIC available videos of the Church that may need some refuting and / or Discussion. Should I place that here you think or are there some things too sacred to touch?

In many of your Threads you talk about being "nervous" or unsure. What are you so nervous about, we are all here to learn, its not a matter of we know more than you and you are the 'newbie'.

Someone asked me this before, it seems to be a common question. The Doctrine here is 'Deep' (see my definition of this in the Read Me First Thread), but the LDS Mature section is even 'Deeper', that is the best way I can explain it really.

As a side note (not necessarily related to your question)... I feel that there is MORE than ADEQUATE Topics in the LDS Deep Doctrine Board to satisfy the cravings for Doctrine if you are really serious about Discussing Doctrine and not merely here for curiosity. I can't tell you the number of times I have seen new Members join and what is the first thing they click... 'LDS Mature' Board. When they see they cannot get access they immediately leave without checking all the Boards here. Very suspicious really.

AlaskanLDS, nothing to be nervous about dear. We are all here to learn, I know I can be quite controversial and straightforward in my views but I assure you I do not bite I am just passionate about topics in general and if you haven't notice I am quite opinionated. *smile*

Having said that, I am waiting for your reply in the thread Rape in LDS Culture, specially my last question. *wink*

JB, I think the videos are a good idea. We could discuss/refute some of them.

Some of those videos are quite revealing though, they talk about Temple ordinances, however they are publicly accessible. My interest in putting it here was as a way to answer if what is being said is in fact true or false.
