Sexual Consent Laws

Isn't it interesting that a lot of the law makers who make tough laws about bedroom activities are themselves found to be the ones breaking those same laws? Do you think that the law should decide when two consenting persons should have sex? What do you think personally should be the age of consent for sex?

Laws Consent Sexual

Just goes to show you why teens don't listen to adults anymore. They make rules, policies, laws and break those same restrictions they want to impose on us. Not that I agree with adults having sex with teens, I'm just saying that most adults today are hypocrites.

Sexual Consent Laws History & Civil Business Politics

Most of all our elected officials break the laws they themselves set. I think people should stay out of the private lives of two people who are adults 18+ who agree to have sex. There should be no laws governing how two people enjoy themselves as long as noone is forcing the other or physically abusing the other.

Legal age for consent should be 18 that way you do not have adults going after a child. I would like to see young kids 12- 17 not have sex to allow them to enjoy their carefree days and to mature more as they get ready to become adults.

I know in my house I set rules that everyone can follow. I try very hard to not break a rule that I expect my children to follow. If I break a rule I pay each kid a dollar because that is my fine for breaking the rule. The kids know they will have a fine or punishment if they break a rule.

In a class we were debating over this and one argument was that if teens are supposed to be 'ready for sex' at 18 then why are we biologically ready at 14 or 15? I'm not saying I agree with this, but it is something to consider. Also, in many areas of the world for centuries marrying and being sexual at this age is very common.

I can see the point of that argument. But just because your body is ready does not mean your mind is. Granted there are still countries that marry you at age 14 and sometimes younger but from what I have heard it is to insure marring a virgin. Does that mean if teens wait longer to Experiment with sex the age these young girls are getting married will go up?

I think we should have clearer laws about teens and sexual consent. Many state laws vary as do other countries. What may be legal in florida could be against the law in Colorado. We need more uniformity.

Listen to what kntoran is saying. Sex can be addicting. Wants you taste it you study it all the time like a new game. There shouldnt be any messing until you are 18 period. Anything below that is going to mess up your brain and have you studying things that only older couples should be studying.
