It would take a special lady to donate eggs without the monetary aspect. My wife an I discussed this one time and she felt that if she ever donated eggs she would be haunted for the rest of her life wondering how the eggs turned out!

I do agree the selling of the eggs would end in back street egg harvesting the same as some poor countries will harvest organs for cash.

It is beyond my comprehension that anyone would be so desperate to go out and purchase human eggs! I could understand a woman's desire to have a child of her own, but if she is unable to do so, there are other options to explore! There are so many orphans in this world just waiting for a good home and people choose to buy a human egg over this! Or if you love being around children, select a career that allows you to interact with kids all day long! I think "buying" human eggs is immoral just like "renting out your womb" (surrogate mother).

It's a sad state of the world that allows for back street marketing of this type, illegally or otherwise.
I can understand the desperation to some point, but can't fully understand the thinking of some women who want only to give birth to their own child, and cannot find enough love for a child that wasn't born naturally of them?
Children just need to be loved, whether it be by a birth mother, or someone who is raising them as their own, I really believe that children should have this right as natural.
