What are your thoughts about this delightful dish?

Recipe detials:

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

1 cup sour milk

2 eggs

3 ripe bananas, -- crushed well

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 cup chopped nuts

Cream shortening, add sugar. Cream again, then add crushed bananas to creamed shortening and cream again. Beat all ingredients together. Bake in loaf pan in slow oven. >From Favorite recipes of Colfax Country Club Women, 1946 by Ella Gillespie, Colmor Typed by Ethel Snyder Date August 12, 1997
