Smart Shopping

Today I begin by planning my menu for the week. This way I cannot overspend and purchase what I need, not what I want.

I start by being sure I have all the seasonings I need. These seasoning can be bought in large containers at a wholesale store. The ones in my area are called BJ's Sams and Cosco's.

They usually last me about 3 months or more. Lawry's seasonal, black peppercorns, optional garlic and onion powder, I prefer fresh garlic and onions though ,Worcester sauce, coriander spice, curry powder, cumin powder and Italian seasoning , five spice seasoning. I prefer my own Caribbean seasoning or purchase in the grocery or Caribbean store. Recipe will later be put in the recipe site.

You can also purchase fresh herbs. This can get expensive thought, so freeze what you don't use in a zip lock bag. You can freeze basil, thyme oregano and rosemary.

My next post will be about my meal plan for the week.
