Last week, Glenn had a "meltdown" as some news sources put it. A woman called in to his show, and was apparently very obnoxious in her support for the Obama health care plan.
Eventually, Glenn screamed at her, "Get off my phone!" A group who claims that their purpose is to expose conservative talk show hosts put up a recording of this on the internet, in an attempt to embarrass him.
You can listen to it on YouTube.
The thing is, I have heard Glenn do the same thing at other times. While listening to him today, he explained that he listened to an old talk show, where the host used the same phrase all the time.
In other words, it wasn't a meltdown. It was theatre. And good theatre in my opinion.

Sister Suzie why do you seem to hate Brother Glen so much? I understand you dont agree with some of his choices but you seem to have a grudge against him. Let it go sister, everyone would be judge according to their actions.
I heard of the incident our brother Nighthawk commented here and all I can say is that we need to remember he's on television and not everything we see on tv is real.

(Glenn Beck) even uses lies to get into people's emotions, can you get more sick than that? |
QUOTE |
Oh really? And some people here defending him like if they're his buddies |
Rather off topic, but... And I publicly state (though I do not have the audience of Glenn) that I think my wife is hot, and I am so attracted to her I can't stand it. It would be great if more LDS men were willing to express their love for their wives. |

I am not arguing that he may or may not have lied, but it is important to back up such statements with specific examples. |

And no, I do not think Glenn Beck should be held to the exact same standards on what he says on a radio and TV show, as an apostle who is at the pulpit. Do you? |
Rather off topic, but...
I wonder how would you react if one of the apostles say that? I never heard any apostle refer to their wives in that manner in public but used words as kind, attractive, intelligent, caring, etc. |
QUOTE |
Are you saying Apostles and regular members have different standards? As an example then: a regular member may be disfellowshipped/excommunicated if he profits from porn but a general authority like elder marriott isnt because of his position? |

This is just one of the many examples, you can google the rest |
Rather off topic, but...
I would be completely comfortable if in a private conversation a Prophet or Apostle said his wife was "Hot". I do not think he would do so, but I would see nothing wrong with it. On the stand in General Conference, I would not think it would be that appropriate . |

A member going into the temple has a different demeanor and tone then a member going into a Water park. If I am at work I address my co workers in a completely different (though appropriate) manner then I do members at church or during a meeting. You would have to admit that there are different ways of acting (within the standards of the Church) in different settings. I can't see anyone acting exactly the same in Temple as they would outside of the temple. |
