Dear Fellow American,

There are only two organizations I've joined in the past few years. The first is my church. The second is the NRA. The NRA is the one organization dedicated to protecting the Second Amendment, the ONE freedom that gives common men and women uncommon power to protect ALL freedoms in the Bill of Rights. And only NRA stands between this essential American liberty and the politicians, unelected bureaucrats and media elite who want to take it away. But NRA is only as strong as your commitment to the cause of freedom. That's why I"m urging you to join me as a card-carrying NRA member today. Joining NRA and standing united with other gun owners has never been more critical in this fight to protect our freedoms than it is right now. Ref. Glenn Beck

Glenn on the cover of Playboy

It's true, Glenn is actually on the cover of Playboy magazine. Mercifully it's just his name and the article about him - not his naked body. The article (which is what people subscribe to Playboy for, the articles) itself is actually pretty pathetic. It's one of the worst hit pieces on Glenn yet, filled with falsehoods and blatant errors. Glenn reacts to the article in the magazine that, despite having naked women in it, is still losing subscribers. Ref. Source 5

What do we do with the time we've been given?

So"¦here it is, another Thanksgiving. I hope this day finds you happy, healthy, and enjoying the bounty of good food, surrounded by those you love. I know it can be cliche to talk about what you"re 'thankful" for on this day, but maybe some cliches exist for good reason; considering the year you"ve had, with all of the challenges facing this country, what could be a better idea than taking time to count the blessings you do enjoy?

This has been the absolute craziest, most hectic and jam-packed year of my entire life"¦and I"m incredibly thankful for that. Granted, I could use a bit more sleep (OK, a lot more sleep), but the fact that I"m working so much means that what I believe"¦what we believe"¦is resonating across the country. I"m connecting with you, and you"re connecting with one other, and together I believe we can and will inspire a "refounding" of America. But none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of my staff and friends, the unconditional love of my family, the unstoppable spirit of people like you. "Thankful" is hardly the start of it"¦

Most of all, though, I"m thankful for"¦time. I had another health scare this year, and while I"m happy to say it was a minor one, it was a sobering reminder that you only get so much time in this world and there is none to waste. By getting myself healthy, I believe that's given me a bit more time, and through your efforts with the tea parties and the 9/12 Project, and taking an active, vocal role in reclaiming our country, I believe that America has been given more time, too. That's something we can all be thankful for, today and everyday.

The question we should all ponder during the holiday season is what do we do with the time we've been given. This is a historic period--history will record our answer because our individual answers will lead to our collective destiny.

Whether we like it or not transformative change is upon us. Join me next year in my effort to be worthy of the change we deserve.

Now can someone pass me some pie?

Happy Thanksgiving and God bless you Ref. GlennBeck.com

BYU professors: Glenn Beck doesn't speak for all Mormons

But just because those two, politically conservative LDS voices are some of the loudest, it doesn't mean they speak for the entire conservative community, several BYU professors said during a panel discussion titled, "Glenn Beck, Cleon Skousen and LDS Conservatism." Ref. Source 6

I have to say that although it may not have been the wisest thing to say, he hasn't received much flak from it (at least recently). Those who attack him usually do so because he is a mormon and also because of his political opinions. In my opinion, it was something that he didn't view as harmful. Looking at his past we can tell that his conversion was obviously much bigger than wanting sex with his wife. He wrote a whole about it. All in all, I don't think it was too bad (in fact I had never heard of it until I came to this website). But it doesn't surprise me that he'd say something like that. I think that we should really be looking at all of the other things that he is doing both for the church and for this country (good or bad, you decide).

Free country, Glenn Beck can say what he wants to whomever he wants, what sticks me like a pin is when he mentions his religious beliefs in the same sentence with his political beliefs, I wish he wouldn't do that.

Comments: I personally think Glenn Beck is an embarrassment to everyone of the LDS faith. His constant rhetoric and lack of any real solutions to our nations problems always baffle me. Not to mention the comment that he only joined the church to have sex with his wife. That is where I drew the line with him.
