I don't really like Beck or Hannity. They are just such jersey wearers. No matter what, the GOP is right and the Left is wrong. It doesn't matter that Bush did many of the things Obama is doing now. All that matters is that Obama is doing it now.
I myself am a Conservative. I believe in Conservative principals but even I know when to point out when Bush or other Republicans are NOT being Conservative. More people need to open their eyes and poke a finger, even if it means poking a finger at their own guy.
I listen to a little bit of Glenn Beck almost every afternoon while driving home from work. I must listen to a different person than a lot of people. The Glenn Beck I listen to is extremely critical of the GOP. At the same time, I have heard him praise people on the Left, when they have made sense. He uses extensive clips, great satire and parody, and occasionally sticks both feet in his mouth. He is a great entertainer, but when he gets serious, he makes excellent points and can be very educational.
Personally, I greatly prefer a couple of other talk shows, but cannot get them when driving to and from work, and they don't have replays on when I get home. But that is mostly a preference for style rather than content, as the content is similar.

Glenn slaughters Arianna Huffington...BUT
Just like the last time Glenn said it, this slaughter wasn't a literal one. This time it was referring to the war of words and Glenn's words absolutely slaughtered Arianna's (not literally, Arianna). In perhaps one of the worst points brought up in the history of punditry, Huffington tried to accuse Glenn of inciting violence because he said the word 'slaughtered' in a monologue on the economy. Glenn tears apart (not literally, Arianna) the argument on radio this morning. Ref. Source 5
I think a great part of his appeal is that he IS quite intelligent and has some worldly experience and a sense of humor that makes him quick-witted, and he tends to actually shine when he finds people less aware of how the world works, and tears them apart - they might as well be gazelles baring their throats to a jackal. He destroys a person then gets a bit of notoriety, and no doubt an ego boost, but to me, has basically just shot fish in a barrel.

I don't get all the stuff that Beck does. Some of it is a good bit over the top for my taste. His conspiracy theories on all that is the left side at times border on paranoia or hopefully a grab for entertainment and viewer enjoyment. However, there are time where he is dead money on and has the data to back it up...Van Jones (the former Green Czar) was a prime example. Not only just Van Jones, but Beck actually (with humor and a hot spotlight) explained for many who these czars were, what they were intended to advise the president on and their backgrounds.
Some of his lecturing about how the government works is condesending, but for a vast majority of the US public...it is helpful.

NYT: Glenn hates poor people
The left has come out with an interesting new attack on Glenn. In recent programs, Glenn has been talking about Social Justice and how it is synonymous for redistribution of wealth. Glenn said if your church is like Jeremiah Wright's church and preaches this type of social justice: get away from it. But, The New York Times can always be counted on for being an organ for the White House, and claims that Glenn just hates poor people. It's bad even by New York Times standards. Glenn reads the article and responds on radio today. Ref. Source 1
We Hate Glenn!
The 'we hate Glenn' fan club has two new members: James Cameron and Cookie Roberts. James Cameron is apparently still upset over a passing mention Glenn made about the movie director 3 years ago on another network. Cookie Roberts was trying to put together sentences during some scantly watched segment, and she called Glenn a terrorist. Glenn responds to the comments. Ref. Source 6
Proof: Obama is a socialist
President Obama complained that people calling him a socialist had nothing to back it up. Here is a list of policies, connections and statements that clearly demonstrate what some would constitute as a 'pattern' of socialist tendencies. It's by no means complete, it's just the beginning.
