Venezuela will hold elections in 30 days, following the death Tuesday of President Hugo Chavez, Foreign Minister Elias Jaua said. Vice President Nicolas Maduro will assume the presidency during the interim period, he said.
Chavez's body will be taken to a military academy in Caracas on Wednesday, where it will remain in state for three days, the foreign minister said. Chavez's state funeral will be held on Friday. Ref. CNN
