THOUGHTS FROM ADMIN

Please READ ALL of this Email, there is info here
that WILL affect your Membership:

I have been getting a lot of complaints about not
receiving Email notification for Threads Members
have subscribed to, so I decided to have a look
at the code among other things. Here is what I have
done:

1. I deleted about 400 Members who were just
occupying the database, but not posting.

2. I deleted ALL current subscriptions, so if there
was a Thread you were subscribed to, it is no longer
the case. The reason for this was to have a fresh
start. Some users who deleted their account would
later complain that they still got notifications of Topics
they subscribed to in the past and the reason for that
was a lack of code in the script, but I have since fixed
that. There were over 1,300 subscriptions listed and it
would have meant a lot of work to wade through all
of that to decide who was still an active Member and
who was not, so I ask that you just subscribe to those
Threads you wish to watch. At the moment you will
get NO notifications unless you subscribe to Threads
again. Notifications will come from this address:
community@bordeglobal.com and will not contain
do_not_reply@bordeglobal.com which was not
working for some people.

3. Notification is enabled by default for ALL Threads
you start or reply to, but it ONLY works if you use the
[Reply] or [Start New Topic] buttons. If you use the
[Quick Reply] you will NOT get notification, however
you can always click on 'Track Topic' if you want to
be notified about replies. There are many benefits
to using the [Reply] button rather [Quick Reply] such
as the ability to:

* Upload images (if you have permission)
* Handy buttons to make tags
* Decide wether you want notification of replies or not

4. I suggest you ensure your Email is up to date, I will
begin deleting accounts where the Member's Email
bounces (returns with an error message) because it
is unavailable, etc.

5. Upgraded Members: you have a feature called,
'Add to Favorites', this enables you to track your
favorite Topics regardless to our notifications by
Email. With 'Add to Favorites' you can also choose
to share with everyone else Topics you are watching
or keep them private!

6. Being subscribing to any Threads that are very
important to you, our servers can handle it and with
the recent clean up you should find yourself receiving
more timely notifications (if you so desire).

Quick Reply Enhancement

Due to the fact that I aim to please, and because LDS_forever nagged me a bit, I have added Notification of Replies option to the Quick Reply (Fast Reply) section. You can now be assured of wether you wish to receive replies or not for Topics. If you are already subscribed it will tell you so (just above the [Add Reply] button).

5 FP Per Reply!

Need some FP? Well, the Mortgages Board will give 5 FP per reply! We want to concentrate on the Topics there and the system will give you 5 FP per reply if you can share your Mortgage related experiences based on the area you live in. If you Post more than 150 words then there will be an added bonus.

We recently enhanced a few features that we wish
to let you know about:

MY FRIENDS

In your User Cp and Profile you will see options for
your friends (My Friends!) in the which you can add
Members that you will like to concentrate on or be
buddies. When you add a Member as your Friend
you have the option of putting a description about
them, deciding if they can contact you and more.
In this same page you can see Members who have
added you as a Friend thus giving you a measure
of 'How popular am I' in the Community. This was
once reserved for Upgraded Members, but it is now
available for ALL Members.

NOTE: It takes 30 or more Posts for regular Members
to PM (private message) other Members

USER CONTROL PANEL

We have updated this with more useful links and a
different layout of options. You will see categories
for each Upgraded Member type.

PLAIN SKIN

There is now a handy [Bookmark] link on the top and
bottom of each page so you can easily save your
favorite Thread or feature for easy retrieval later.

THE UNKNOWN HOT TOPICS

Sometimes Members logon looking for recent Topics,
but there are Topics that you may have missed already.

New Custom Field

When you update your profile there will be a new Custom Field called 'Backup Email'. Due to the number of bounces we get from certain Free Email accounts it has become necessary to have you give us an Email that you use other than the one you registered with to ensure there is some way to contact you before your account is deleted.
