Hello,
:help:
If anyone can help me, I am looking for a law concerning Connecticut women and men...
I understand that the Age of concent is 16, but what if you are 16(woman) and your partner(man) is more than two years your age, perhaps over 20 even? When does this become illegal?
Would it be safer to wait for the woman to be 18 and free to date/sexual relationships with anyone of any age?
This may sound weird but it is important.
I've done plenty of research but all I'm finding is information on minors(under 16) being sexually active with those of another age.
Thank you for your help.

I am not sure what you exactly want to find out. The age of consent (known as the age of sexual consent) in your state is 16, if the man is older than 16 it may be legal or not. This is what I found out:

Generally, the age of consent for sexual activity is 16. But note that in some circumstances sexual acts with a person under age 18 is a criminal offense (e.g. contact where the actor is the person's guardian or is otherwise responsible for the person's welfare). |

While I do not fully understand all the aspects of this situation, I would be equally as cautious in this case if the older person where a employer, teacher or manager. The term "responsibility" could easily be broadened to encompass this situation as well. Your other question was would it be better for the older person to wait until the younger one was 18 years old. Of course this would be better, as there are no restrictions in place at that age.
