Indy 500 or Nascar

Which one do you think is more competitive: Indy 500 or Nascar? Consider cost, duration, types of racers, engines, etc.

Nascar Indy

In my opinion Nascar racing is much more competitive than any Indy car race. Nascar has taken many steps to be safe for the drivers as well as to keep the sport competitive but Indy cars for example have a rule that they may only block a pass of a component one time before they must allow them to pass if they can. This is due to the dangerous nature of two cars touching as their tires are exposed. A small bump in a Nascar race is a normal event but Indy cars cannot take the abuse safely thus making rules such as this leaving the machine alone to determine the outcome rather than the driver.
