What I find interesting is this is just her side of the story. We all know there are two sides to every story. The fact that she stated that she was told to remove her sunglasses and look at the officer and she did not comply shows that she was a little bit combative. Sure she lifter her glasses up and looked at the officer then pulled them back down shows that she did not want to comply with the officer. This will make most officers very suspicous. I think she resisted more but left that out of her story and they ended up giving her a strip search. I would be interested in hearing the Officers side of this incident.

KNtoran, this is your field of expertise. Do you guys have to go that far when searching someone or is it more to 'humble' them sometimes?

Normally airport security will not strip search anyone unless they are suspected of carrying drugs in their body cavities. If we suspect that then we use a drug dog. IF the drug dog makes a "hit" on them they are usually arrested and strip searched at the local jail if they are not willing to hand over the illegal drugs.
