NBA to go back to old leather ball
The NBA's much-maligned new basketball is being bounced. After months of complaints from players about the way it gripped, performed and even hurt their skin, commissioner David Stern decided Monday to put the microfiber composite ball back on the rack.

Basketball Leather Back
Somethings should never be changed, and changing the ball in the NBA was a bad idea. The leather ball is just plain better to play with. Composite balls last longer but don't feel as natural in the hand and do not handle like real leather balls. You have to have played with both to understand the difference and why the players didn't like it. I would have complained as well if I was being forced to play with it. Leather just has a softer touch to it, when you catch it, shoot it, and dribble with it.
