
MEMORY BREAKTHROUGH COULD MEAN SMALLER, FASTER ELECTRONICS
A new alloy could lead to smaller memory chips some 500 times faster than today's, said developers at IBM Corp. and two partners on Monday.

Just when you think that computers where hitting their max innovation wise, something comes along to prove you wrong. With the advent of faster dual core processors, this becomes even more significant. If they can speed up the the processor front side bus to match the core and memory speeds, computers would be faster than the games need them to be, and actually ahead of the curve. Hopefully that is the way we are moving to in the next few years.
