Recipe Ingredients Recipe detials: Oatmeal "Rocks"

1 c Shortening

1 c Sugar

2 Eggs; beaten

2 c Flour

2 c Oatmeal; uncooked

1 ts Baking powder

1/2 ts Soda

1 ts Cinnamon

1/4 ts Salt

1 c Dates; or raisins

1 c Nuts; chopped

1/4 c Milk

Recipe by: dsjn00a- Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Mix the dry ingredients, sprinkle over the raisins and nuts and combine the mixtures, adding only enough milk to make a stiff dough. Drop on greased cookie sheet, 1 inch apart. Bake 10-12 minutes in moderate oven, 350~.
