Comments: I saw one of the guys said that there is a 7-day special for $9.00 tickets. I just want to correct this it was $9.00 for a ticket on Monday 9th, November, 2011 because Movie Towne was celebrating their 9th Anniversary.

I see many persons complaining about the prices but I wonder how many of you have actually went to the venue. If you have you would know that it is worth it. It's simple if you like the experience you go if not don't. Don't criticize people for wanting to have a "good time."

On the casino matter it's the same if you don't wish to involve yourself with it then don't. Many individuals who complain /criticize are individuals who don't really go out.

Towne Movie

I took my two sons to Movie Towne Port of Spain today. Felipe really wanted to go to see what it was all about in a 3D movie. he enjoyed himself a lot.

Now my version. We go there early to see the 10:40am movie. We chose this hour to avoid crowds. Upon entering at 10:20am there was not any popcorn or food ready. You may say we are early, but if you advertise a movie at 10:40am then you should have it ready for customers at 10:20m so they are not hustling to get to their seats. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get our order while they 'made' it. The prices were ridiculous and the menu as unhealthy as you can get.

Then when we went into the cinema the camera had some kind of technical difficulty so they apologized and the show did not start until 15 minutes later. During the movie I could hear the loud rumblings of another movie close by... That should not be. I hated the 3D glasses we were given, they were over sized and did not fit Jonah well at all. The screen was also smaller than I expected.

On the up side the staff were pleasant, the place clean and well kept and that's about it. This is definitely not a place for the poor man like myself and I would never go there save it were my son's birthday wish.

Movietowne is so overrated. The only reason its half popular is because there isn't much else entertainment wise in this country. We need more options for people to force these places to bring down their prices and be competitive. Maybe in some decades from now people will have their own home cinemas and won't even go to the cinemas.

Comments: One thing I will love to see Movietowne POS have is a jungle gym. The games are OK but there needs to be something for smaller kids other than the token cars because after awhile they're just boring for them.

I find MovieTowne is great place to go out and have a good time! But I do think the place needs to cut down their prices a little bit, it's a bit too much!
