When I was a teenager, I can remember my grandma telling me the story about the small town of Pickwick. Pickwick was done away with because the dam was going to be built. She was a native of Palo Pinto County. My grandpa, Lon L. Mason, g rew up in Palo Pinto, Texas. She and I had many conversations about history whi le eating her Teacakes. Try the recipe, and maybe, you can remember a story or two to tell.
