The Passion Of The Christ

I know there is a thread on The Passion of the Christ and I have read the whole thing. Since its been awhile since anything was posted I heard something that I'm trying to prove wrong and need some assistance. A fellow sister in Christ told me that Pres Hinkley was asked his opinion on the movie and that he replied "I stand firm on my previous council on rated R movies". I am convinced that this is a myth and that of coarse since this was such a contraversal movie that some mormon myths had to start sooner or later. I tried doing a search on the subject and found nothing to support this sisters claim. Anything anyone has heard as a direct comment in regards to this film from a GA? Before I try to convince her is there anything that anyone can reference? This is just like the whole The Excorcist thing all over again though I am not comparing the two movies and feel that they are in two differ boats all together if decided to watch. If there is something in the mature I'm sorry but I havent commited to venture there yet.

Your Thread seems to be more about R movies that the actual movie about the Passion of the Christ. Have you done a Search? This topic already exists, again I will ask you to do a Search before responding or starting new Threads: R-Rated Movies

OK JB, I understand what you have told me many times now and I have read those threads, you are misunderstanding my post.

My question is if anyone is familiar with this mystery quote or if its just a myth. I'm not asking about R rated movies and I have read the Passion thread.

Has Pres. Hinkley made a direct comment on this movie, if so a reference would be great?

I understood what you were asking, but what I have been trying to say for a long time now is that we have a system - a way of posting messages here that do not involve repeats.
