It sounds to me (after reading the letter) that she is a teen mom, it is really sad.

The new baby was left inside an LDS chapel on Saturday night and police still don't know who left him or who his mother is. That really is heartbreaking. Now that I have a son of my own I know how terribly hard that would be to give your baby up. If she really had no medical help, I am amazed at her bravery. I think that even if I were an unmarried pregnant teenager, the fear of childbirth alone would be enough for me to tell someone or at least go to a hospital. I would be too scared to even have a baby at home with a midwife - I like knowing that if there was an emergency, I am already in the best place.
