I tend to drive American made cars and look for them when I buy a new car. Since they are made here, they help keep jobs for Americans which in turn helps our economy. I don't see my self as buying a Chinese car based on that principle. However, it will be interesting to see what kind of product they put out. It will have to be high quality if they want to survive in todays international car market.
While I would love to stay true-blue American made, I have to admit a lot of the Japanese cars are built better, eg Honda. However, Honda has many plants here in the US so I know even though I am buying a Japanese model, US workers are still getting jobs. As for China, I don't know if that will be the same case (probably not) so unless they are really above and beyond what is currently out there, I probably won't buy a Chinese-made vehicle.
